Kicking off Faction Week (yes, it is a play on Fashion Week), we have one of the leading contenders for the Oldlands - the New World Order, or as the common folk call them, "the Order."
After 235 years of unrelenting gang warfare polluting the Oldlands, the New World Order was formed to try and become a beacon of hope for the return of civilization. Led by Commander Hawkins, they fight to restore life after the apocalypse back to the way it used to be. They've installed a communist-like government in their territory that takes care of the security, nutrition, justice, trade, and everything else their people need. They have one of the largest militaries with about 5000 active soldiers and have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to breaking the law.
Slogan: "In the new world, only the Order can keep you safe."
Arnold Kosty created the Republic to directly oppose the New World Order. He believes the Order is too controlling, and their idea of restoring the morals and values of life before the apocalypse is profoundly stupid. When the world adapts and changes to its surrounding, shouldn't society as well?
They are a capitalist society with very few laws that can be summed up under one rule - as long as you're not harming others, there's no problem. They have approximatel 6000 soldiers and wear black cargo pants, white tank tops with their logo on their chest, and a bandana and wristbands with the logo stitched in the middle.
Slogan: "Freedom and Opportunity."
One of the five prominent city gangs, they were formed after their leader, Lady Reaver, could no longer handle the mistreatment she witnessed women consistently endure in the Oldlands. All 500 soldiers are female, and their territory in the city has become a hub for women all over the area to seek refuge and regain their strength and pride. They wear black body armour with pink or purple trim and are easily recognized by their vast collectio flamboyant hairstyles.
Slogan: "Bound by bullets and blood."
There isn't any assistance for the mentally ill in the Oldlands, leading to rise of gangs like the Outcasts. heir leader, Lomy, encourages all of his now 500 warriors to indulge in their sadistic tendencies and rewards them handsomely for it. They wear leather vests drape in steel wires with screws tied to the end. A screw is awarded to a soldie who acts on their psychotic desires to signify another screw going loose in their mind, and therefore, giving into their true self.
Slogan: "We think. We feel. We do."
During a time when hundreds of smaller gangs roam the city, Quinton Hall, his sister, and his friend were taken enslaved by a 15-person outfit that held camp in an old car garage. During the night, Quinton broke free of his bonds, untied the others, grabbed three hatchets in an old tool shelf nearby, and hacked down every single one of their captors. The story of their escape would soon become infamous within the Oldlands, and after years of making strategic alliances and promising an end to the city's rampant warfare, he now leads one of the largest gangs at 1000 soldiers. They wear black t-shirts with three white hatchets covering their chest.
Slogan: "Quick and Painful."
Olli's brother ran a gang of 40 soldiers for years during the "100 gangs" era. Even though he was an incredible fighter, he didn't have the mind for politics and lust for power like Olli did. Even though he was six years younger, after years of stagnant growth, his brother gave him control. Olli began absorbing other smaller gangs, uniting them under the promise of total freedom, as long as they were obedient. Those who weren't were disposed of in the most bloody and ruthless ways and had their bodies smeared across the city streets for all to see, which led to Olli getting the nickname "the Young Tyrant."
The gang is tied with the Hatchets at 1000 members strong, and wear dark red cargo pants with white tank tops bearing their logo.
Slogan: "Forever Free."
Magni was the son of Thor, the Norse God of thunder. Heavily influenced by Norse culture, Thor Asger founded the Magni to try and bring back the warrior culture of the Viking era. A "Thor" is what they call their leader, and all the Magni serve him like they are his children. Their logo is a Raven holding Mjolnir, the hammer of Thor. The Raven represents being a messenger, and the hammer represents the word and might of their king. All 700 Magni have this logo tattooe on their hands to serve as a constant reminder of the oath they swear to faithfully serve their king and deliver his will.
